I know you could never forget, but I thought it might be a good time to take stock of where we are.
Let's see...
Dean out of Hell, where he was forced by Hell's Torturer-in-Chief, Alastair, to be assistant torturer.
66 seals, some of them broken now. Lilith still on the loose, breaking seals as fast as possible, but maybe not the baddest of the bad now. That might just be Alastair, Dean's former boss in Hell.
Castiel, the angel warrior businessman. Seems like he has a soft spot for humanity.
Uriel, the angel warrior jerk just waiting and hoping to gank Sam and Dean. Seems like he has a soft spot for destruction of cities.
Anna, the fallen angel who got her Grace back and was able to stop Alastair and his goons when Uriel and Castiel were failing. Tough chick.
Bobby in the Dominican Republic. No news on the banana hammock. Also a sheriff in the pilot for another series. With Ruby, uh, I mean, Katie Cassidy. Maybe. They're recasting and reshooting some things, supposedly.
Ruby has a new body that includes lesser acting powers. Also helping Sam get over his grief at Dean's death, with a little physical therapy, if you know what I mean. Gives her a little influence, you might think, when she tries to encourage Sam to practice his powers.
Sam. Ah, Sam. Sami is trying desperately not to become a monster. But Ruby is constantly whispering in his ear that he will need his powers to defeat Lilith, and will need to make them stronger. On the other shoulder, so to speak, are the angels and Dean, telling Sam he's heading for a "place of eeeevillllll." What's a poor demon-tainted boy to do?
What is Sam's ultimate fate?
I don't know, but I fear for his life.
Dean has died 3 times now. He's fresh out of deadness. I think he's destined to live, though I'm not sure it will be a totally happy ending.
Sam, though... Sam has died once. I can't see him dying 3 times like Dean, but once more, maybe.
See, Dean had to learn a lesson. And that lesson is that the family has to stop sacrificing themselves to save each other. They had to learn the value of letting go.
What's Sam's lesson?
I can't wait to find out.
Heheh. I loved your little recap. But I might be on the wrong side here, but I still believe that Ruby's "lesser acting powers" are due to a fact that we do not know yet. But I don't want to argue about her right now: Im just so excited that we're getting our show back tonight!!! =D
And... erm.. Sam, dying? Huh. Do you make a good point. But.... ;)
Awesome little summary!
