Supernatural: Katie Cassidy not coming back

On Supernatural, you're never sure you're dead even when you're dead. Unless you cost too much.

TV Guide is reporting that Katie Cassidy costs too much.

I absolutely hate this move. I think Ruby was a great balance to the Winchesters. I know she's served her purpose, and they can probably write around her to fill in the missing parts of her story - like why she wanted to help Sam fight Lilith, but this can't help but make the show weaker, not the least because filming starts in just a couple of weeks.

I'd love to blame the CW for this, but the article says that the budget hasn't changed. What's changed is inflation, causing the show to have to cut costs.

For all the spirits and demons and other creatures of nightmare that the Winchesters have faced, what will really haunt the fans of this show is what might have been, had Eric Kripke had the resources to make the show he wants to make.

She can come back and inhibit another human's body. I don't think we've seen the last of "Ruby," just Cassidy...

While I didn't mind Ruby or Katie Cassidy, this most certainly WON'T make the show weaker. Why would it?. It had two hugely popular and critically acclaimed seasons before her. They can do it without her. Like you said, she served her purpose, but they can go on without her. After all, it's about the Winchester brothers. Not the Winchester brothers and one blonde demon. This isn't a problem.

Katie Cassidy was just a body, right? The character of Ruby may very well still come back, she'll just look a little different. Frankly, that probably makes the most sense after whatever Lilith did to her.

I diden't like the seen no rest for the wicked. Sam could have done better to save Dean and do the hocous poucs and save to save Ruby to but there is no reasson to take off Katie Cassidy off of Supernautral right now Ruby saved sam& Dean's lives she was meant for the show and for Sam life as well Ruby was taken under contorl of that little girl Lith Sam could had distroyed evil and everyone should had been Ok in first place. Ruby had no contorl of being Lith at the same time. Katie is the best actress I ever seen and she needs to come back in season 4. They just lost bella for crying out loud and all this about the Budget cut and the writers stike is making all the fans crazy like me. Dean was dead and he came back and so did Sam why not Ruby? she was a good match for Sam anyway. To me she is more like a Buffy the vapire slayer to me she derseves the best and the rest of them. I just love these guys no reasson at all to act stuipd. so what do you all say let's bring back Ruby she does not dersve to die or anybody else. Katie makes money for a living but she will never take a bribe over anything like this. she does not cost anything to The CW pays her for her acting and being on the show. take it as someone who cares for once. thanks for the comment.
