Zap2It.com is reporting overnight ratings for the Supernatural Season 2 premiere to be a disappointing 2.2 with a 3 percent share.
To give those numbers some perspective, 9 pm leader "Grey's Anatomy" scored a 14 with a 22 percent share.
"So what," you say, "they're one of the top Thursday shows."
Yeah, but check this out.
The final performance of the Fox network show "Celebrity Duets" scored better, with a 2.8 rating, 4 percent share.
The rest of the country missed a helluva show.
Thursday is a killer of a slot. I hope those numbers pick up, this show doesn't deserve those numbers.
I agree. I groaned when I learned what it was up against. Not only those 2 shows, but also ESPN college football.
Pretty much any night would have been better than Thursday.

That time slot is just terrible! It's up against CSI and Grey's Anatomy for crying out loud!! That's just insane!
I'm hoping it was put there because the network has serious faith in the show, but come on.... I don't know if Smallville could carry the weight against those other two.
I hope the network doesn't punish the show for the low ratings. It's one of the best shows of its genre now that Whedon has left us.
I'd much rather they move its air time if it continues to suffer.
