Sooo I guess Brad and Matt were too good to play out the string with the rest of the cast-or maybe there was something good on TV that night.

Maybe they were catching Men In Trees?

Actually, I hope to get this checked out over the weekend, so DON'T QUOTE THIS AS GOSPEL UNTIL I DO, but I had read that the three leads had wrapped filming before the rest of the cast, which, if true, makes me think that this episode was probably among the last things filmed. However, at this moment that's just a dirty, dirty rumor, so if you quote me before I've confirmed it and I'm wrong, you can't be mad, and by reading this, you waive all right to be angry about it. So there.

Or...

What seems more plausible, Bradley Whitford, Matthew Perry, and Amanda Peet are pretty big names, and would probably garner an arm, two legs, and a few fingers per episode. The remaining three names are, respectfully, a former (and current) host of Def Comedy Jam, co-star of Wings which is a 10-year old sitcom, and mildly famous through the West Wing; Markedly less per episode than the former. And, we know that one of the reasons the for the demise of the show was cost of production and the lackluster profit NBC turned from it.

Sucks, too. I love this show.
