As originally reported here, Studio 60 is going on hiatus while NBC airs The Black Donnellys. However, instead of happening on March 5th, as was originally planned, that change is now coming on Feb 26th.
I realize this is a news item, but I'm going to editorialize here: This seems like an even worse sign than the hiatus alone. We're now losing a week of February sweeps, and while I'm not sure how heavily the last week counts, sweeps month is sweeps month. According to the quoted article, ratings for "The Friday Night Slaughter" were down to 6.9 million viewers. I would imagine that this is sort of a crunch time; if you're interested in seeing Studio 60 get a second season at all, now is the time to call Deborah Thomas, NBC Entertainment, 818/840-3663 and/or Lesley Cerwin, Phone: (818) 840-3980 Fax: (818) 840-2907. Faxing may possibly be more effective than calling. All are better than emailing. "Snail mail" is supposed to be best of all, so naturally I'm having difficulty finding an address for these people. But any effort will help. Also be sure to check out http://Savestudio60.com.
I agree, Tammy. Be sure to let NBC know how you feel, too.

Just wanted to say that I am disappointed with this decision. My friend and I have watched every episode of this show and always find that at the end we are looking for more. We have been enjoying the stories and the characters. Too bad. :(
