Aaron Sorkin: Studio 60 is My Most Personal Writing

The New York Times has published a well-written interview with Aaron Sorkin, the creator and writer of "Studio 60."

The whole article is worth a read, but choice tidbits from the story include:

• Rob Reiner will guest-star this season
• The Studio 60 set is larger than The West Wing's
• And, like the headline suggests, Sorkin acknowledges that many characters (and their backstories) are drawn from his own life and experiences in television.

As the man says himself: "There’s no question that this is the most personally I have ever written, simply because I don’t live in the world of the White House."

Remember, the show premieres in just one week, on September 18th.

Just FYI, the NY Times was wrong on one detail -- this is not Amanda Peet's first television role. She played Jack on "Jack & Jill" a few years back.
