The Office: Women's Appreciation

office-womens.jpgPhyllis got flashed... or at least someone was "hanging brain" in front of her. Michael found it to be hilarious. No one else in the office did.

Dwight responded by shoving a pointy stick into the bushes. Then he did what he does best -- forms a task force, whose itinerary included getting rid of every banana in the office and having all of the women dress like Angela, which might be difficult, since she shops at Gap Kids and American Girl.

Michael called a women's appreciation meeting, and then took everyone to the mall. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that car -- a screaming fly, considering how frightening Meredith's driving "skills" were.

During the outing, Michael dished about his relationship with Jan and came to realize just how bad things are. So let's get this straight: Michael wants to break up with Jan. More importantly, Jan is willing to pay Michael to come see her. Wow. I think we all just visited the Bizarro World.

The conversation also drew some parallels for Karen and her relationship with Jim. Then again, one trip to Victoria's Secret seemed to cure all... at least until she leaves for her new TV gig.

Back at the office, the guys were hanging out in the ladies' room, which appeared to be nicer than my living room. The guys were surprised. Creed is not, considering that's his regular "poo" spot. On behalf of ladies everywhere, I have to say: "ew."

In the end, Michael crushed Jan -- via voicemail and in person at the same time. That has to be a TV first. Is Michael growing up? He always seemed to be the type of person that would do anything for a relationship. I'm actually surprised that he hadn't proposed to Jan yet. Could it actually be over? -- Rachel Cericola

You mean Angela

Thanks for that! I guess I was typing too fast or something. I have no clue where that came from... it's fixed!

Hey Rach,

Loved the opening bit with Jim and Dwight re. demerits, citations, violations, verbal warnings...

Didja notice the picture on the "Pervert" flyers? Looked a lot like Dwight...

And the look that Pam gave Karen when Karen was buying the sexy little bra and panties "for Jim..." Could be a cat-fight brewing...not that I'm into that sort of thing...but Sweeps are coming...

Hey Randy: I had a whole part about the opening and for some reason, cut it out. Oh my... the exchanges between Jim and Dwight are priceless. I can't quite remember, but does it seem like those two are starting to open the show more and more?

And yes! Can't believe I forgot to mention the flyers. That was so funny. The best part was in the end... Jim drawing the tiny moustache on the mirror.

I agree too... the whole Jim/Pam/Karen thing is headed towards some kind of blow-up. Can't wait!

This article (or review or summary?) completely ruins the episode for anyone who has already seen it. I stumbled upon it via Google News, and while I have already seen it, I still don't like hearing that Karen is (almost) definitely going to be leaving the show for a new tv series. Boo.

Sorry if I have spoiled it for anyone, but that news has been all over various outlets for quite some time.

I don't like it either... at least not yet!

Another awesome moment I forgot to mention...

When Michael's cell phone goes off in the car (his ringtone is STILL "My Humps")... did anyone notice Kelly dancing? Funny as hell...

I noticed the "Humps" ringtone several episodes ago. Nice to see Michael's still got it.

I just remembered my other favorite line - when Michael (notice how he's never "Mike"?) referred to Jan and said she had "sunken chesticles".

Man, that's harsh.

That line was awesome!

I noticed the ringtone in a few episodes as well... I just thought it was too funny that Kelly was dancing to it. It's like dancing to Muzak...

Yeah, it happens sometimes ... Nothing special.
