The Office: The Negotiation

After weeks of extra-special reruns, tonight was the night we've been waiting for -- Roy was ready to get all medieval on Jim for kissing Pam at the end of last season.

Instead of getting sweet justice with a punch to Jim's face, Roy (and pretty much the rest of the office) got pepper-sprayed... by Dwight. He also had nunchucks and throwing stars on hand just in case, making Dwight ready for just about any office conflict.

The end result: Roy was fired and Angela was very turned on.

Because of Roy's absence, Darryl wanted a raise. In negotiations, we discovered that Michael "accidentally" bought a woman's suit -- and wore it to the office. He also makes an embarrassing living, so he winds up going to corporate in search of a raise for himself.

As part of the deal, Michael needs to bring Toby to document everything. Surprisingly, Toby was thrilled to go. He has been banished to sit with Ryan and Kelly. I think if given the option, I would probably choose to pepper-spray myself in the face.

Did anyone catch the "Black man" phrase that Darryl taught Michael to use in his meeting? I rewinded my DVR four times and still couldn't catch the last part of it.

Despite the extensive negotiating skills he learned from Wikipedia, Michael had one simple plan of action: He told Jan that he wanted a decent raise or no more sex. Either he is really a fantastic lover, or Jan felt bad for Michael's lousy day. He got a 12 percent bump. Nice to see him have a happy ending for once.

A great subplot was how Dwight didn't want to be Jim's hero. For some reason, he couldn't put himself up on the same pedestal with Hiro from "Heroes" and Bono. He certainly didn't mind being Angela's hero though. I can't believe Jim never knew about that!

Final note: It looks like Andy is back from anger management training. Funny that Roy didn't get that offer, but I guess Andy was only guilty of attacking a wall. -- Rachel Cericola

I can hang with the Pippity Poppity Give Me The Zoppity...but I'm pretty sure that Daryl was gooning Michael.

Absolutely loved it when Michael was in Jan's outer office and he was looking at the woman next to him who was wearing the exact same suit. If I'd been drinking something at the time, it woulda come out my nose.
