Looks like bonuses are coming early this season. Zap2it says that NBC has picked up "The Office" for seven additional episodes.
It doesn't hurt that the show has "it" star Steve Carell, who is coming off huge box-office numbers from "The 40 Year-Old Virgin." The Americanized version of the BBC comedy also has a strong lead-in this season from freshman sitcom, "My Name is Earl." Carell will continue to boost viewership this weekend, as he takes the reins of "Saturday Night Live" for the first episode of the 31st season.
"The Office" airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. (EST) on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
