Mad Men Fodder

Mad Men: Christmas Comes But Once a Year - Preview

The question continues to be asked . . . Who is Don Draper?

But in the meantime, it's time for the 1st Annual SCDP Christmas party; which should prove to be filled with both angst and drunken abandon. Especially since long fired Freddy Rumson will make an appearance!

Mad Men parties are always fun as they usually feature some kind of dismemberment or crazy hook-ups. Who will it be this year? Peggy and Joey or Peggy and Pete? Wouldn't be amazing if it was Don and Joan? The sweaty hooker from last weeks premiere looked a lot like our Joanie. That would make Roger go so crazy he would probably drop his drink, most likely on Don's head. I just hope it's not that self-absorbed actress.

Meanwhile back at the Draper-Francis house, little Sally is talking to a mysterious stranger complaining that she hates her life. That's natural though as she is almost a teenager but more likely it's because mother-of-the-year Betty force feeds her half the time and ignores her the other half. Will Sally run away?

What about Don? When we last saw him he was spilling his guts to a Wall Street Journal reporter by telling him exactly why he formed SCDP and what happened. There's bound to be some massive fall-out from that as Bert Cooper doesn't take kindly to his laundry being aired out in public. Will we see the angry Don who tells prospective clients to Get out of MY office! or will we see a sadder and mellower Don who's lonely at the holidays while everyone else is partying? I'm guessing a little bit of both as one naturally feeds into the other.

While it may prove difficult to improve upon the momentum provided by the stellar premiere, creator Matthew Weiner says this episode if filled with dark twist and turns and may even provide a big shocker. Let's hope the gang doesn't get into too much trouble!

Watch Mad Men Sunday night at 10pm on AMC but first check out a sneak preview scene when a big client weasels his way into being "invited" to the SCDP Christmas party. Uh, oh.
