Mad Men: "My Old Kentucky Home" Preview

Now that we've comfortably settled into the drama of the 3rd season of AMC's acclaimed show Mad Men, it's time to have some fun. Let's party!

Tonight's episode called "My Old Kentucky Home" is all about party planning. Roger hosts a party which is the perfect platform for his new wife and former Don Draper secretary to rub her status in everyone's face. It's also a perfect time for Don to let loose some more sarcastic comments to Roger which will cause a rift in their friendship. It was bad enough that Roger tried to have sex Betty in season 1 but then he went ahead and stole Don's secretary. Enough already!

Not to be outdone by Jane Sterling, Joan decides to throw a party of her own. I guess her subtext laden confrontation with Jane at Sterling Cooper pushed her over the edge. When will people realize that they shouldn't mess with Joan? She will destroy you in more ways then one.

Up against a deadline the writers are forced to work long hours coming up with a snappy ad campaign and are struggling to fight off boredom. I'm sure we'll be treated to sexual innuendos and lots of drinking and smoking. Peggy is gonna have her hands full, good thing thing she worked off some of that stress.

Back at the Draper residence Sally has a run in with Grandpa. Let's hope that he doesn't mistake her for his wife or anything. That would be awfully bad.

"My Old Kentucky Home" airs tonight on AMC at 10pm EST. Make sure you catch it or save it to your DVR and remember to check back here at Mad Men Fodder for the full episode review on recap. In case you missed it, here's a sneak preview of the Jane and Joan confrontation. Enjoy!
