Los Angeles (April 23, 2007) : The cast and crew of the hit medical drama HOUSE are sponsoring an exclusive line of T-shirts to help shine a light on mental health issues. Proceeds from the sale, which begins today at www.housecharitytees.com, will go to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Cast members Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps, Robert Sean Leonard, Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer made the announcement today on the Los Angeles stage where HOUSE is produced. They were joined by HOUSE executive producers Katie Jacobs and David Shore; executive story editor and resident HOUSE medical expert David Foster, M.D.; and NAMI executive director Mike Fitzpatrick.

The shirts are emblazoned with the phrase "Everybody Lies" : one of the first and perhaps best-known of the phenomenon known as "House-isms," the biting but always accurate one-liners uttered by the brilliant diagnostician Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie). The tees are high-quality American Apparel 100% cotton shirts, and also come packaged with a special thank-you card from the cast. The cost is $19.95 apiece. The sale begins today (Monday, April 23rd) and runs for a limited time only.

Additionally, several items signed by the HOUSE cast : including "Everybody Lies" tees and HOUSE DVDs : are going up for auction at www.housecharitytees.com, with proceeds going to NAMI. The auction goes live Tuesday, May 1 and runs for seven days. Both the auction and the T-shirt promotion itself are powered by Delivery Agent.

"Mental illness is stigmatized and misunderstood in our society, and we're trying to do something about that," said HOUSE executive producer Katie Jacobs. "We're very fortunate to be celebrating an extremely successful third season for HOUSE, and we'd like to give something back to a cause we feel is both worthy and overlooked."

"HOUSE is making an enormous contribution to public education by lending the show's celebrity profile to raise funds," said NAMI executive director Mike Fitzpatrick. "On behalf of every individual and family who live with major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other mental illnesses, NAMI thanks the show and cast. They will be making a difference in people's lives."

Information about NAMI's work can be found at www.nami.org.

HOUSE stars Hugh Laurie as an infectious disease specialist and brilliant diagnostician who thrives on the challenge of solving impossible medical mysteries, yet will do anything to avoid actual contact with his patients. HOUSE is the #1 scripted series on FOX and was recently renewed for a fourth season.

HOUSE is from Heel and Toe Films, Shore Z Productions and Bad Hat Harry Productions in association with NBC Universal Television Studio. Katie Jacobs, Paul Attanasio, David Shore, Bryan Singer and Dan Sackheim are executive producers.
