Emerson Tries to Block "Heroes" Rebroadcast

Emerson, makers of the garbage disposal (Claire sticks her hand in and severely injures herself) seen in the pilot ep, is trying to block NBC from rebroadcasting that ep.

Emerson claims the show used their garbage disposal without permission and could be damaging to their reputation.

yeah, I'm never gonna buy an Emerson garbage disposal asfter seeing how well it could grind a hand. That was atrocious and should not be the result of sticking a hand into a garbage disposal.

Possibly, but more than likely the studio will settle out of court or they will blur the name out in rebroadcasts and/or re-issues on DVD.

Who even pays attention to the company of a garbage disposal in a TV show? And who is actually dumb enough to stick their hand in one? Besides, it was all totally theatrics- it's not like that's really going to happen to your hand.
