Isaiah Washington may no longer be welcome at Seattle Grace, but NBC has signed him up for stint on their new action drama, "Bionic Woman."
Washington will appear in five episodes, with the possibility of getting his own action series. It's doubtful that it's a spin-off though; NBC says the show would be based on an idea from Washington himself.
"Isaiah Washington is a very talented and versatile actor and I've always admired his work," says Ben Silverman, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. "These episodes on 'Bionic Woman' and the new development deal will showcase his talents, and we look forward to producing some great television together."
For his guest-starring role, he will play the guy responsible for Jaime Sommers' bionics, as well as how she uses them.
"Bionic Woman" premieres September 26 at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
