First of all, no way is Meredith dead! She is the title character, there can be no "Grey's Anatomy" without a Grey, and her mother is not lucid enough to come back to Seatle Grace. I must admit I was happily surprised when Denny appeared at the very end. I love the idea of having some more Denny, I have missed him and didn't think we'd see him again on the show. The writers are brilliant: Meredith has a near-death experience and gets Denny as her guide. Can you say "Sweeps"?
I was ready to jump up and smack the TV when George announces that he's going to "kiss Callie silly" at home. Hello, she's in surgery. He doesn't know the boy's condition. Can you say "inappropriate"?
The acting, as always, was superb. But I was really impressed with Patrick Dempsey's portrayal of Derek trying to help Meredith. It was a nice touch to have Mark (Eric Dane) silently lending his support to his ex-friend outside Meredith's O.R. Although, I can't see the two of them as friends again. Come to think of it, unless Derek was a complete womanizing jerk before he came to Seatle Grace, I don't really buy that he and Mark were friends at all.
Alright, let me know what you think. Something else you want to talk about that I didn't, submit a comment. Do you think Meredith is really dead? Tell me why? Offer your guess on what is going to happen next week. Let's get some discussion going in the comments. I hope to hear from you.

Oh yeah, Izzie's comment to George was mean and inappropiate also.
Yes, there needs to be a lot of suspended belief- Meredith will recover quickly so she can hop back into bed with Derek.
Thanks for reading and commenting Aamah!

I DON'T want Addison to be the one to save Meredith. I want Derek to go in there and talk her back from the brink of death! I would be okay with Cristina saving her. Her outburst on the preview, "Try again!" just blew me away. Her face... it hardly looks like her. What acting!
I have wondered if Meredith's mom might pass while Meredith is in limbo. Maybe they can have a moment together that will leave Meredith some peace.
Can't wait for Thursday!

Never all that fond of Denny myself. Personally, thought that story line went way over the top. Frankly, I love the show, ... acting ...characters...but seriously had to suspend belief where Izzy is concerned. No matter how I look at it, she killed two people. (Denny and the other shlep who could have gotten the heart.) But...that was then...I've just moved on...
Now...of course, Meredith isn't dead. And the kind of miracle they are portraying can happen...BUT...next week or the week after, she'll be back on the job and boffing Derek (which is soooo OK)and that's going to require another suspension of belief. Recovery from near death experience takes a lot of time.
One more thing, "kissing Callie silly" might be inappropriate, but Izzy's rant as they kept vigil outside Meredith's death door, was horrible...I refer, of course, to her comment to George about is marriage...SHUT UP, Izzy...just SHUT the *bleep* up!
