\"Glee\" Tops Golden Globes

Hollywood's Winter Formal the Golden Globes rolled in to a rainy welcome (I'm still calling the Oscars \"Prom Night\")\n\n2 new kids to the class \"Glee\" and \"Modern Family\" were the most talked about shows in the Best Series: Comedy or Musical category. It was slightly uncommon to see 2 brand new shows midway into their first season nominated but the strength of both shows were undeniable. \n\nAs the evening rolled on; it seemed as if Glee's magic was only in the nominations. First was Lea \"It's an honor just to be nominated\" Michele who predictably lost, then was Matthew \"The old boy had a shot at it\" Morrison who also lost. Oh but what of Jane Lynch? Jane was certainly up there in voters minds. Jane unfortunately lost out to \"Brown Bunny\" star Chloe Sevigney. Yes the same woman who was performing oral \"art\" on Vincent Gallo's \"paintbrush\" and who currently is in the cast of \"Big Love\" beat out the heaviest hitter of the \"Glee\" family for the Golden Globe. In Chloe's defense - she is doing remarkable work on \"Big Love\" but she's not turning out the kind of performance that makes a viewer want to watch to show because of her character. \n\nWith 3 of the individual acting awards going 0 for 3; the outlook for \"Glee\" was feeling bleak. Even the believers started to have some doubt. \"Glee\" had indeed won the award and an ecstatic cast led by their captain Ryan Murphy received the award with class and gratefulness. \n\nIronically, Taryn Southern who I had mentioned in this article here was interviewing the winners backstage for NBC with Nick Cannon. \n\nIt's a long wait till Emmy time but I have high hopes for Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Dianna Agron and Jayma Mays to try to snatch one of those up. \n\nI would like to congratulate the cast and crew of \"Glee\" for their award and thank them for all the wonderful hard work they've put in especially: Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer , Jessalyn Gilsig , Jane Lynch , Jayma Mays , Kevin McHale , Lea Michele , Cory Monteith , Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley , Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz\n\nTill next time Gleeks!\n\n- @ZorbaTheGleek
