Glee Fodder

Glee: Ratings and News

The Glee train gained momentum (and viewers) on Wednesday Night with 7.32 million viewers and was #1 the 9-10 p.m. hour in adults 18-34

Modern Family dropped 22% from it's debut last week.

Also this past Tuesday Glee stars Cory Monteith and Lea Michele visited The View to talk about all things Glee.

The interview was brief but we did get treated to Lea Michele singing a little Streisand. Cory did a great job of not begin devoured by the cougars on the show.

Also Amber Riley stopped by to chat with Wendy Williams where she revealed she tried out for American Idol. Idol's loss is Glee's gain obviously. Ms. Riley seems to gain poise and presence not only in her on screen work (as I mentioned a few times, her comedic timing is getting stronger by the episode), but she's also interviewing like a pro.

Her appearance can be seen here:

Also on Wednesday Amber Riley and Cory Monteith rang the closing bell for the NASDAQ exchange in New York City to celebrate the shows full season pickup.

The cast members and PR department have done a wonderful job of blitzing all types of media via Twitter, Facebook, Myspace as well as traditional talk shows, international promotional tours and other outlets. I had wondered if it would slow or oversaturate and it appears to be no on both accounts. I can only assume at some point we'll see a cast member Guest Host WWE Raw as many celebrities and charities have done recently and I'm sure they'll end up on a float sometime during the holiday season. Personally I'd love to see Jane Lynch as a guest judge on Iron Chef America or a guest host on WWE Raw. As Glee is finished shooting the cast members have a chance of perhaps guest starring on other shows or other Fox produced shows as well. They should be commended for all the hard work they've done to make this show a success and we all hope they are enjoying it as much as we are. Hopefully there isn't a measure of burnout or fatigue from all the promo work but as the numbers are showing...they're gaining viewers so obviously they still need to get the word out.
