"Glee" Helps Fox Win Wednesday Ratings

According to the early Neilson data reported by Tv Mojoe , Glee averaged a 3.3/9 in adults 18-49 and 7.3 million viewers from 9-10 p.m. Wednesday. Among women 18-34, the series racked up a solid 5.3/14.

The series premier titled "Showmance" added to it's lead in audience from the season premiere of "So You Think You Can Dance" which drew a 2.7/8 from 8-9 p.m - a 20% increase.

Does this mean we have a smash hit on our hands? Not exactly, but it does mean there is a rock solid following and the show will most likely gain viewers as the words gets out and more content is available.

As i sai in previous posts. Fox has done an amazing marketing job and with the promos likely to air during other hits like " House ", you can bet Fox's foothold will be solid in the fall season.
