General Hospital: Alan's Death Affects Jason

The blue screen of death has been plaguing my laptop so I haven’t been able to post in a while, but I have been watching General Hospital and jotting down some notes. So, basically here’s what stuck out to me in the past few days.

Carly thought that Sonny was at her door and yelled out about them having sex. Unfortunately for her, it was Jax, not Sonny. Carly has no choice but to tell him what has happened between her and Sonny. The marriage, the hostage situation, the infidelity. It’s a bit much. Michael and Morgan come in and are happy to see Jax. He spends some time with them, but the fact is she is married to Sonny and she slept with him. He leaves.

Jason says his goodbyes to Alan. He tries to explain to Alan why he couldn’t get to the hospital any sooner. While he is talking, he remembers how awful he was towards his father. He is going to be a father soon and he knows that he would give up his life for his child.

Lucky and Elizabeth talk it over and decide to get remarried. She forgives him. She remembers how he helped her through one of her darkest moments. They go to the hospital to tell Luke and Lulu. For some reason I do not see them going through with this. What do you think?

Jason arrives at the mansion to see Monica; she breaks down and he holds her in his arms. I kind of hope that this tragic death can pull this family together. Well, as together as the Quartermaines can get, at least. Tracy tells Dillon that she doesn’t want to make the same mistake with him that she did with Alan by not telling him that she loved him. Alan’s death is really going to shake up Port Charles. I can’t think of very many people who won’t be affected by it.

Carly even tries to pay her respects. She offers to bring Michael to the mansion to say goodbye to Alan. The Quatermaine’s aren’t very receptive at first, but they decide that it is what Alan would have wanted.

Jax goes to see Alexis. She is sure that she is going to lose Molly in the custody battle. Jax tries to help her by going to the police station and threatening the Mayor and Ric. He tells them to back of Alexis or he will have their jobs. Alexis is positive that Ric will choose his career over his daughter.

Lucky and Elizabeth decide to move into Laura’s house once they are married. They want to go to the courthouse and get married, but Lulu convinces them that they should have a ceremony at the house. Then Elizabeth asks Jason to let Lucky raise the child with her as their own. She is afraid that Lucky will go back to taking pills if he doesn’t have her and the baby in his life. I really don’t think that Jason’s going to be able to handle this. With the death of his father I’m sure it’s all just making him think about how he is going to raise his children, and now that he’s found out that Sam will not be able to carry a child to term…I just don’t see him giving up this baby for good. He agrees to let them raise his child, for now, but I think that will change down the road. Here’s what I think: if it doesn’t happen before the baby is born, the second he sees the baby he’s going to want to have a relationship with the child.

I’m sure I’ve left some things out. This is just the things that I’ve wrote down that stuck with me. I hope to put Monday’s blog up pretty soon!
