I’m a little bit behind on the blogs. Bear with me for a bit. I’m recapping Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday here.
I am not really enjoying these new real time episodes. It just seems long and drawn out. They don’t even put the time stamps on it to show how the time is passing. It feels just like a regular episode, except it has this drawn out hostage situation. What do you think?
A new doctor tells Skye that a specialist will be called in to see Lorenzo and give him some tests. Tracy bails Luke out of jail and he heads straight for the hospital to question Skye. She tells him all that she knows. He is familiar with the brand of briefcase that the robbers are after. He goes back to the hotel to try and convince Lucky to let him in and try to save everyone. Yet again, Luke thinks he’s much better than the entire police force that has been trained for these kinds of situations. The way they write this show makes it seem like the police are a bumbling bunch of clueless idiots. It’s a little insulting to real life officers, but I suppose they aren’t really watching this show. Ok, that’s the end of my little rant.
Emily performs surgery on Robin. Patrick takes her through it over the phone. When she wakes up she is in a lot of pain and naturally makes a lot of noise. This bothers the robbers and they yell at her to shut up or they will kill her. Lulu and Sam try to convince Mr. Craig to let them find some liquor to mask her pain a bit.
Meanwhile, Sonny pours his out to Carly while they are in another room. She almost kisses him, but pulls away at the last second saying they aren’t good for each other and that she’s going to marry Jax. When is he coming back? I miss him and this is getting old.
Jason and Spinelli try to figure out a way to sneak into the hotel without the police or Mr. Craig and his henchmen seeing them. Mr. Criag asks Sonny for the number of the person who he has promised will help him and his men escape. Mr. Craig allows him to make a phone call to Jason in order to secure a plane to escape with. He holds the phone to Sonny’s ear as he makes the call.
With a little help from Mike, Jason and Spinelli plan to sneak in through a back room that he used to gamble in. The only problem is that Ric has a warrant to detain him for 48 hours to keep him from going into the hotel to try and stop the robbers on his own. Ric waits until after the phone call; he has a feeling that Jason is discussing a plan to get into the hotel. Sometimes Ric is the only smart character in this whole soap! Too bad he uses his powers for evil. Ric surprises Jason by ripping up the warrant and telling Jason that he can go right ahead and save the hostages. Maybe he’s hoping that Jason will be killed in the fracas. Anyway, they figure out that the locks will reset at 11:00 and decide to get in at that time.
Alan is feeling worse and worse. He is paired up with Nikolas. He wants Nikolas to tell Emily that he loves her and that he’s proud of her. Now he’s having a hard time breathing. It’s so sad to see this happen to a veteran of the show. I’ve been watching General Hospital since I was around 10 years old and I don’t remember a time when Alan was on the show. It makes me so sad to see him go, especially like this.
Elizabeth is starting to feel cramps. Sam yells at Mr. Craig to let her have some water because she is dehydrated and may miscarry her baby. He lets her have some water. Sam and Max distract Mr. Craig and manage to knock his gun out of his hand. While this is going on Sonny and Carly distract the men that are going to take her to a different room. They knock him down and take his gun from him. An uprising has begun!
Spinelli uses some sort of device to unlock a door to get into the hotel.
I am very upset about GH letting of all people go.Stuart Damon he is so fun to watch what a waste of such great talent.
Maybe, he can become the new Stefano DiMera or a relative,or maybe even Mickey Horton.DOOL'S are you reading this by chance.Don't let that wonderful talent slip away.
I agree. I hope they keep Spinelli around for a while.

There's no reason to get rid of characters that are core to the show like that.
Speaking of Spinelli - totally like him and the dialogue they give him - which brings me to the question - if they can have one funny, clever character like that why not more?
Unless they've got one writer set aside to write Spinelli's dialogue and then they send him/her home...

I'm with you on the they're-dragging-it-out-way-too-long....I think there's still another week of this - although there are elements of the stories that I like.
Spinelli is quickly becoming one of the most watchable characters on the show.
