I’ve been a tad bit behind with the blogs, but I’m slowly all caught up.
Sam asks Spinelli if he can delete some information on her. That’s all fine and good, but is she also planning on stealing the evidence that Tracy already has? Besides, this is a soap and the truth always comes out eventually.
Robin goes ahead and buys Patrick a sofa. The girl has to have something to sit on; the floor gets a little uncomfortable after a while! Pete, of course, tells Patrick that he should set some boundaries with Robin. Patrick later returns the sofa. They talk about what they are truly feeling and decide that they are happy together. Patrick surprises Robin by having the sofa redelivered as well as enough furnishings for the whole apartment! He then he gives her a set of keys and asks her to move in with him. Things are getting pretty serious, pretty fast for this couple.
Dillon distracts the Quartermaine clan again so Lulu can continue looking for Rick Webber’s date book. He makes a dramatic announcement; he is quitting business school and in order to become a film director.
Alexis is told that she will need more chemo treatments once she gets stronger. Ric is still determined to get sole custody of Molly. He is preparing his case against Alexis and gives a subpoena to Sonny to testify at the hearing. Then Ric gets all the evidence he really needs, he sees Alexis smoking marijuana. Ric puts her under surveillance and she is eventually arrested for drug possession. A few years ago if you had told me that Alexis would have turned out this way I wouldn’t have believed it.
Elizabeth yet again nearly tells Jason about the baby, but loses her nerve when she spots a pregnancy test of Sam’s. What she doesn’t know is that the pregnancy test turns out to be negative. At this point I’m thinking that by the time she tells him the baby will be out of high school!
Alcazar tells Mr. Craig that they need to get Sonny out of the picture. He later warns Sonny that something major is going to happen if the special shipment isn’t delivered without incident.
Sam is determined to get a job without any help and goes to the Metro Court for an interview. Ok, let’s take a step back; if she’s so determined to get this job all on her own why does she keep applying for jobs where the people with influence are her friends or related to her boyfriend? Of course she would easily get a job at the Metro Court seeing as how it is owned by her good friend, Carly, and her ex-boyfriend (who she is now friends with), Jax.
Huh? What was that recap? These last sofa episodes have been so snoozeriffic that I just jumped on Patrick's ol' couch and fell asleep. Wake me when it's all over - it's too boringly painful to watch... I'm guessing the writers think it's a
metaphor-for-the-relationship thing but they are so off the mark and so heavy-handed - UNLESS the metaphor for the relationship is that it's a snore. boring. ohmygod how did two fun characters become one snoozer of a couple and where oh where did Patrick's mojo go? I can't believe how they managed to completely destroy a great character. (Be still my rant...)
There's some good stuff going on with the Alexis/Rick/Sonny/Jason storyline though - thank goodness for the small things.
