General Hospital: Laura Goes to See Her Mother

Bobbie makes an appearance in this episode! Thatâ€™s pretty neat. Although her reaction was a little understated. I would have been jumping around and hysterical in her shoes. Leslie, Lauraâ€™s mother, is mad and I donâ€™t blame her. The least Luke could have done was call her about her own daughterâ€™s recovery. Iâ€™m sure he could have explained the situation to her. You know Leslie, it would be great if you didnâ€™t tell her too much about the traumatizing events that caused the semi-coma in the first place because it could cause a relapse. Easy, no? I mean, he had a whole heartfelt convo with Robert Scorpio the other day and he couldnâ€™t even bother to call his own family about this great news? I call my mom when I get find a great pair of shoes at the mall for goodness sake.

Lucky and Elizabeth talk. I guess heâ€™s back in rehab and she has gone to visit. She tells him to take the money that Nikolas gave him and put it in the bank to earn interest until they figure out what they want to do.

Alexis breaks down after realizing that her hair is falling out. The reality of chemotherapy is sinking in. Now everything that has happened to her is starting to hit her. Sonny tries to be her rock. I think he did a pretty good job. But that doesnâ€™t make me like him. Itâ€™s gonna take more than that. In fact, I want to get a new picture for this blog! Just kidding. He has his moments. Just not in a few years for me. Although, I was thinking during their conversation that I kind of missed the two of them. I remember way back a million years ago the two of them were so hilarious together. Her crush on him was so funny to me. I think it would be interesting to see them bond through this rough time in their lives. Maybe the writers could ease up on all the illegal activity because Sonny and Jasonâ€™s â€œbusinessâ€ is so boring to me. I want it to get back to the relationships. Isnâ€™t that what soap operas are all about?

Ric goes to see Elizabeth at the hospital. He remembers that itâ€™s her birthday. He informs her about Jason and Samâ€™s escape. He asks her to call the police if they get in contact with her and then shows her the surveillance photo of her with Jason wrapped in an embrace. Then she tells him that she and Lucky are getting back together. What?!

Jason and Sam escape! They sneak into a building and nearly get caught. He finally takes the handcuffs off. She tells him that Ric showed her the surveillance photos and that is what got her angry enough to attack Ric and escape custody. He tries to explain that he cares about her and that she doesnâ€™t have to worry about Elizabeth especially since her baby didnâ€™t turn out to be his. Little does he knowâ€¦

Laura pleads with Robin and Nikolas to just let her have a day to herself. They relent. And then Robinâ€™s parting words to Nik were just great. â€œYouâ€™re not wrong to worry. At this point, after all sheâ€™s been through, anything could happen.â€ Confidence inspiring.

And check out Alexis taking back her job as DA! I enjoy the wardrobe they dress her in. I canâ€™t wait to see how this plays out.

GF is such an amazing actress - every scene she's in is amazing. I too would have been worried about Leslie seeing Laura cold like that. Fainting? Heart palpitations? Shortness of breath perhaps? Meanwhile - it's "Laura honey could you help me unpack the groceries?" or the equivalent.
BUT - I'm not complaining the storylines have been really good lately.

Except for Patrick and Robin. I used to love them separately and together but now - ugh. No chemistry. I put on my snooze button to wake me up after their scenes.

(I won't even go near the Sam stuff. Ugh. Ugh. Double Ugh.
