General Hospital: Laura Returns!

Hello, I’m the new General Hospital blogger. I have been watching General Hospital on and off since I was a kid. In fact, I used to have a bunny named Sonny. I'm really excited to have this fun opportunity to write my opinions of what's going on in my favorite soap. So, here are my thoughts on Thursday’s episode.

If this were a regular prime time show I wouldn’t put such a spoilery title for this blog, but since there was an extremely spoilery commercial just before the show even started I figured that it was ok. Luke decides to let Robin give Laura the experimental drug to get her out of her vegetative state. Without telling her children he goes ahead. They hear about it and race down to stop him. I’m not exactly sure how he has the right to make medical decisions for her because they are divorced, but for the sake of drama that’s how it is.

Carly takes Alexis to the hospital and proceeds to put her nose in Alexis and Sam’s business. I find it hilarious how she just loves to tell everyone how to live their lives. The queen of destructive behavior. Granted, she’s cleaned up her behavior quite a lot.

It’s on between Ric and Sonny. Ric continues to connive his way into a permanent position as DA. In exchange he will bring Sonny and Co. down. This will not end well. But, I’ll hang with them to see how it plays out. I have always had a crush on Ric (Rick Hearst). I think he’s quite handsome. Even though he’s evil. Too bad his handsome face was marred by Jason’s fist last week.

Alexis breaks up with Sam. She tells her that they need to stay away from each other. They have hurt each other too much and she’s not sure if she can forgive her for sleeping with Ric. I don’t blame her. It’s just such horrible timing. At a time when you need people the most she is dealing with her daughter sleeping with her husband.
Oh, how I love Genie Frances. I think she’s a great actress and I’m so happy to see her back. I hope that they continue to give her good storylines. This episode was so heartbreaking for me to watch. As her children said their goodbyes, thinking that she’s never going to come out of her vegetative state. And when Luke walked out the door she said his name! So, the Friday’s episode should be very exciting with Laura coming out of her comatose state. This affects a lot of people in Port Charles. This is definitely the type of drama I look for in my soap.
