General Hospital: Sonny and Emily Are Over

...And the crowd roars? Cries? Doesn't give a crap?

Me? I'm crying. I've already said I don't want to see Sonny/Carly or Nikolas/Emily again. But there's nothing stopping either couple, now. Dammit. I fast forwarded all of the Sonny/Em goodbye stuff...I'm usually bored by the mushy stuff and even more so with couples that suck. It was nice to see Emily back at the Q's but where the hell are her (adopted) parents? Yeah...its always good to see Edward (even if he isn't my favorite) but I miss Monica and Alan at the house. The one bright spot to Em back in the Q house? Maybe we'll get some good ole snarkiness out of Tracy. She's overdue to cause some trouble and I'm down with Emily being her next 'victim'.

Wow...I like Georige today...instead of being indifferent. Good for her going off on her 'hobag sister. She tried to talk some sense into her...but Maxie is all wrapped up in her fantasy world...and from the looks of the previews she's not above manipulating Lucky to make sure they still in each other's lives. I can't wait for Elizabeth to find out! I want some bitch slapping!

Yummy Nikolas in blue. Not as good as naked but I'll take it. Plus...it wasn't all about the baby today. The writers rememered Nikolas does have family and friends. I was never on the Nik/Liz bandwagon (mainly b/c it was Coltin Scott in the role) but I do l love the friendship and glad Liz went to him for help. But damn....she could have at least asked to see her nephew. I don't like what Lucky is becoming but at least Greg Vaughn is getting a chance to show his stuff (Not that stuff!) Both the scenes with Nikolas at Kelly's and Liz at home were very well done. It made me want to pull for Liz and Lucky all over again. Pretty good stuff.

Another day with Carly all over Port Chuck: the docks, Kelly's, the Q house. The woman gets around! I will say the writing for Carly lately has been pretty good. Last week she called Sonny on his issues and today was Jason's turn. She busted him hard, huh? Damn, Bernie! She almost had Jason realizing he should be with Sam....and that would have saved us another "elevator day" of "I love you but can't be with you"....again I say...Damn you, Bernie! I wanted Carly more involved with Nik and Lucky at Kelly's. They don't acknowledge her Spencer side enough (other than being Leslie Lu's mentor...tee hee) Pleasantly surprised by the Em/Carly convo. Another civil conversation between two women in Port Chares? Get. out!

Sonny and Jason have been reunited. I swear I thought Jason wanted to kiss Sonny when he told him about Emily being gone. Get a room already, fellas! Looks like kharma may be biting Jason. He took Sonny's business and now he's stuck with it. Be careful what you wish for big daddy J!

Not sure if I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I see Alexis will be shrieking at Sam..which I don't like but more Patrick/Robin with a side of Noah. After last week...it'll be interesting to see where these two are, now.

Tomorrow is my last post for the week. I unfortunately have to go out of town for work and won't have the chance/time to watch GH. I'm hoping to be home late Friday and will try to catch up this weekend.

First things first. Nicholas in blue. Yum. He is looking fiiiiine. I'm liking the Jason and Sonny visual - Jason jumping into Sonny's arms at the good news - it had me lol! I liked your bit about the karma - hadn't thought of it that way!

I also like Carly's dialogue lately but here's my problem with it. She ain't Carly - she's LW Carly - which I like - better than any of the other Carly incarnations. So my question is - are they going for a new "Carly"?

Meanwhile - I'm so distracted by the fact that you'll be missing Thursday that I can't even concentrate on writing this! :-) I may have to call Lainey - naah - she'd tell everyone what's going on with me....

The Sonny stuff is good stuff and even the overtalking it is realistic but this is SoapLand aka Port Chuckles - we heard it Sonny. We got it. And him saying that he's starting to look at things in a new way!?! I should be so lucky! (What did Lainey put in those pills anyway?)

Loved the Georgie and Maxie stuff - really terrific and Maxie's the only one with decent makeup this week. What's up with the self-tanner and bad makeup? Argh - part of the fun of the show should be some eye candy - whether in the form of the hunks or the clothes etc. Hey people!

Speaking of Nicholas - didja notice Nanny McWacko talking about "people she loves fighting"? Nic did thank goodness - take the baby and ruuuuuuuun Nic - that Nanny wants to see your fanny as bad as everyone else does!!!

Where was I? Sorry - had that lecher-haridan episode and I completely forgot where I was and what I was saying....

I liked the dialogue they gave Emily and I don't know if she's working with a new acting coach or what but there's a new nuance and depth in her acting. Keep it up Emily! (Not you Sonny - I'm surprised he hasn't been wondering what the meds might do to his - um - appetite and performance - (but if Jason keeps looking at him like that I don't think he'll have much of a problem :-) )

Today looks good for me 'cause it's got all kinds of Patrick scenes. I realized lately that my problem isn't with Robin/Patrick it's with Kimberly McC's Robin - I realized it when I saw the flashbacks - can't put my finger on it yet but there's something not right about her Robin interaction with Patrick Mcluscious.

MB said that a lot of sports people watch the show and some NFL guy is going to be on in a couple of weeks - do you know anything about that? Do lots of sports people watch? First I heard of it. If that's the case that would change my understanding of the way they're writing the show. They might not be writing for the 18-49 women like I thought (or is it 34-49 they aim for?) If I knew who their primary demographic was and the secondary ones I'd have a different take on the whole thing.... hmmmmmmm

yeah...I think a player for the NY Giants will play a bartender at the Metro Court. I don't get it,either....they also had a baseball player as a jury member back during one of Sonny's trials, I think.
I think the 18-49 female is still their wanted demo. In fact...ratings can suffer all they want (to a degree) as long as the demos are good.
