General Hospital Fodder

General Hospital: Oh, Snap!

I barely fast forwarded today!!! Juicy stuff going on in Port Chuck, people...juicy! (Not to mention it was a Sonny free day...wooohoo)

Where to begin...where to begin...Let's start with the par-tay.

Leslie Lu is celebrating her 18th birthday and gets surprised with a party at Kelly's. That's not the only surprise for our youngest Spencer...Girlfriend is with child! We can't really expect too much from General Hospital these days so of course there weren't a lot of peep at the party but it was nice to see all the Spencer kids together in one scene and acting like siblings. Heck...Carly even remembered she's a Spencer. I love family interaction! I've seen a lot of people on the net don't like the name Spencer for Nikolas and Courtney's baby...but I like it. And Nikolas is hot...so there! I was torn about Liz asking Patrick to stick around. On one hand she wasn't very sensitive to Lucky's feelings (however whack they are) but Patrick is also dealing with some heavy stuff and could use a friend. I was kinda feeling sorry for Lucky...but no more. Dude needs to get a clue. I thought it a bit odd that Carly chose to tell Liz vs. jerking a knot in to cousin Lucky...but glad she did. I cannot wait to see the fallout between Liz, Lucky and Maxie. I want and need a good ole soapy cat fight! Bring it, Liz....meow!!!

The Awwww moments for today go to Leslie Lu visiting Laura. *sigh* November can't get here soon enough for me. Dying for Laura/Leslie Lu scenes. Dying, I tell ya! The writing for these scenes had more of the heart that we've been seeing every so often in the past few weeks. Good stuff.

You go, Alexis. First you kick Carly out (you could have slapped, too...alright with me) and then you go off Ric for his lack of support. Ric has been such a pansy lately....He's either whining about Jason taking his place in Sonny's life or he's whining about Alexis not having enough time for the family. Grow up, my man. I know Alexis' doesn't make it easy because she holds everything in...but Ric knew this going in. Deal with it and realize your wife needs you.

I thought the Edward/Jason scenes were good...even if Edward's change of heart was a bit quick. He asks Jason to kill Lorenzo and by the half hour mark...he'd already changed his mind. I did like the Lila comments, though. Dumbest scene of the day was Jason demanding Sam to run into his arms. It was a bit cruel to do that to Sam...ya big dummy!

The only parts I fast forwarded today was Georgie/Dillon. They still bore me and knew that their reconnecting wouldn't change that.

Overall... a prettty decent, very soaps show. Yay.

I'm with you on all of it! With one exception - I liked the Jason and Sam scene. I know - I was shocked myself because it's been so boring with the same old, same old. I was watching it in real time and the scene between them was so excrutiating that I was feeling the breakup myself. Somehow today it came through for me - the pain he was feeling and the decision to NOT be with her because he loves her. It really rang true for me - I almost couldn't take it....

The Edward/Jason stuff was fantastic - I was so stunned when he asked him to off Lorenzo and the follow-up conversation was really, really good. Not to mention Jason in that mighty fine outfit looking good enough to eat -

Speaking of which - didja hear what's supposed to happen? Don't want to "spoil" it if you haven't but there will be some Jason flesh in the near fu-chah! Yes!

Liz and Patrick - I always love him so I don't care who she's *&^%ing off and the thing about being the viewer as opposed to living there in PC is that we know what Lucky's been doin' to Maxie-ho so I'm thinking who cares how upset he gets - over nothing I may add.

I so didn't see that coming - Carly telling Liz - today really kept me watching - it was great fun (to watch). Poor Liz though - eeeeeeeew her eyes! She'll never be able to get that image out of her head. Go get him Liz - let him have it!!!! Junkie-wifecheatin'-ho' sleepin'-bastid that he is. Lucky what happened to the nice boy you used to be? We know Momma's gone to the you-know-where and Dad's gone to wherever and you're acting like a loser and all but cheating on Liz?????

I loved the Lulu scenes - she's terrific and it should be great when Laura comes back.

Nicholas never used to be my favorite but he is looking SO FINE lately that he can do whatever he wants as long as I get to see him. I'm with you on the Spenser name - I like it and I actually got teary today when he was telling them (I also cry at soppy commercials so I'm not one to measure by but it was very sweet.)

How right are you about whiny Ric? Whine, whine, whine. Alexis likes Sonny's baby better than my baby. Sonny likes Jason better than Sonny likes me. Sam won't turn Jason in. Mayor Floyd spends more time with Alexis than I do. Whine.Whine.Whine. Get over yourself Ric - take that Harvard brain of yours and get thee to a shrink! Work on those self-esteem issues. Work on those abandonment issues. But - go to a different shrink than Lainey or you'll start whining that she loves Sonny more than she loves you too (besides - with the way that motor mouth is going she might discuss your case with the fine denizens of PC!)

All in all - a great soap day for Port Chuck and in turn for me. Loved it. More. More. We want more!!
