General Hospital Fodder

I'm back and I'm weeping from the GH reports I've heard. This is a horror. I'm going to watch all the episodes now but from what I've heard/read I might skip today's. What are they thinking??????? I'll be back if only to commiserate...

That's it - I'm calling a "Code Blue" on the show, and if there's any Justus in their world - they'll have a DNR and just let it go into that good night. But whoops! There is no Justus in their world - they killed him off.

What have they done to this show? Maybe I'll check in later to laugh and point at some of the really (not-meant-to-be) hilarious parts that I didn't ff'd through - but I don't know if there's any hope. There ain't intervention (medical, psychological or producing/writing/editing) enough to save this case. What a terrible shame.

Ok - I finished with some real-life angst so I'm back remembering why I watch soaps and GH in the first place.

Sam's mom-ma buy her new clotheseys? Tomowwoh she and Kwistina go buy-buy for new shoesie-woosies? I think Kristina's got it more together nowadays than Sam does.

Emily now officially a psychiatrist - albeit of the GH variety. Excellent. She knows everything about everything and especially Sonny's quickie diagnosis. Emily - howabout a quick session with Sam? You know what it's like to get new mommies. Emily has two mommies. Emily has one expression and one way of gesticulating. Emily has one too many shots of botox.

Lucky? Huh? Not very lucky right around now are we? But might be getting lucky if Maxie keeps up with the maxi-size bags o' drugs.

Nik at night and day with the baby. Paranoid but doesn't notice the evil-nanny-from-hell with the eyebrows pasted in a sinister position right near her hairline - who speaks to herself in "empty" rooms.

Carly. Whatever. How'd she get into the fortress? Isn't there lots of security? Or did she *&^% the guard while talking about her love-card being full with three men. (I did think she was hilarious with her world-advice to Lulu)

Long-Time (will kill me if she knows I'm quoting her here but) she and I both thought the one good line in the whole Sonny therapy thing was him saying he was scared of becoming another person. Good authentic line. As a viewer - I WISH he'd become another person - this one is tiresome.

I love Jason so I have nothing bad to say about him being in zillions of scenes but I think Emily is so out of line as far as the stuff she's yelling at him about. (See Emily comment above.) Also - it's amazing that he hasn't run into Robin yet. Even I've run into Robin already since she's been back in town!

I hated those "On tomorrow's GH" when they first came on but nowadays they save the show. I might have tuned out years ago without them - yesterday's teasers were better than the whole of last week's shows!

So. That's where it stands. This from a person who used to call the States from overseas to get GH updates when I was travelling and couldn't wait to see taped shows. Amazing that something that could be that good can become this bad.... a lot like the relationships in Port Chuck actually..... :-)
