General Hospital: Father's Day Comes Early for Nikolas

Hot Damn! Tyler Christopher has part of his Emmy reel all ready to go! I loved every damn scene he was in today. His anger and frustration over the lies told could be felt through my TV. I loved his calling Jax and Carly on their crap...especially knowning that Courtney wanted him to know the truth. He wasn't buying their bull about keeping John safe and I clapped when he brought up the fact that Jax was going to go as far as getting a restraining order against him. My Carly hate is back in full effect. I doubt John's safety was her #1 concern. She's always looking out for herself. Plus, she and Jax's relationship is built around John. Now what do they do? I'm surprised Alexis held her tongue for so long but was happy that she helped Nikolas see that taking him right away isn't the best answer. The quick little scene between Alexis and Nikolas where she explained all of that reminded me of how much I love the Cassidines. My Robin/Nikolas lovin' heart was swelling with the "thank you" scene. I am soooo on that bandwagon! (I'm ignoring Emily showing up. No way in hell to I want to live through Nikolas/Emily again!)

Jumping on that bandwagon is a lot easier when I'm hating Patrick and that's happening more and more each day. He bitches at Robin for being a busybody yet he couldn't keep his mouth shut today. Did he really need to taunt Lucky with the info about the bullets?!! Especially after telling Liz he wouldn't say anything? Then it was time to babble some more to Sam about her surgery...and of course he told only his side. The side that made him look like a hero. Where was the part about Alexis also being told that the drugs could work if given time. Lordy....my Patrick love is fading fast!

Elsewhere in Port Chuck, Liz is at Jason's....again! And she's almost busted by Lucky as he stop by. Liz finally realizes that Lucky has a drug problem...but with all the lying she's done for him...that maybe the least of her worries.

Ric pumped Lainey for more info on bipolar disease and heads back to Sonny's to put his plan in action. Ric knows exactly which buttons to push and goes for the big one...their mother's death. If not for Mike showing up, Sonny might have been on his way to Ferncliff. That would be fun to see!

Ok - one question - anyone know why Rick is trying to make Sonny go further off the deep end - he is so far over he'll be in Spoon Island soon! The writers keep dropping moments and not coming back to them - and now this. No explanation, not even some of that horrible internal thoughts-thing or a heavy-handed conversation with himself.
I'm ok with vague but this isn't vague or mysterious it's odd.

And what is going on with Mr./Dr. Busybody? Is this a new Patrick? Is this since he's gotten hooked on Robin? Is he adapting some of her behaviors? Or is it just the lure of GH. Everyone's got there nose in everyone's business, and truth be told it took him a while to fall into it.

And maybe it's the summer cold he has but his scenes have been a bit dull the last two days.... (and I'm a Patrick fan!)

I am surprised that none of the medical staff noticed Lucky's slurred-like speech and very unsavory hygiene lately. Liz - time to pay attention to the hubby - unless it is Jason she's after again - they're terrific together and maybe all the money troubles have finally gotten to her.
I guess she's figuring what's a bullet here and there if the bills are being paid and manly-macho boss of bosses is your guy?

LOL! Yeah...I was scratching my head over the Ric stuff but I think its Ric's way of helping his brother. Read an interview with Rick Hearst that said he's doing it b/c everybody else has always covered up Sonny's illness and he thinks Sonny needs to hit rock bottom before he'll get help.

I don't know what's up with Patrick...he seems almost changed in the past couple of days.
