It looks like Vinnie Chase and the boys have reason to celebrate!
Even though the "official" nominations for this years Emmy's will be announced on July 19th, apparently the list of "finalists" was leaked online early this morning by the LA Times and 'Entourage' was one of the nominees.
Both the Huffington Post and AOL reported today that the LA Times "Envelope" page had "leaked" the list of "intermediate nominees" over a full two weeks early. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which is in charge of the Primetime Emmy Awards, declined to comment on the accuracy of the lists.
Of course there is plenty of time for the selection committee of the Emmy's to completely strike that list and start over but let's hope that 'Entourage' doesn't get snubbed.
Here is the complete list with the TV Fodder web pages linked:
The drama finalists are ABC's "Boston Legal," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Lost"; NBC's "Friday Night Lights" and "Heroes"; Fox's "House" and "24"; Showtime's "Dexter"; and HBO's "Rome" and "The Sopranos."
The comedy finalists, are ABC's "Desperate Housewives" and "Ugly Betty"; NBC's "My Name Is Earl," "The Office," "Scrubs" and "30 Rock"; CBS' "Two and a Half Men"; HBO's "Entourage" and "Extras"; and Showtime's "Weeds."
It's a big year for the boys with their fictional film 'Medellin' being accepted at the Cannes Film Festival and both Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara being nominated for "Best TV Sidekicks" at this years Teen Choice awards on August 26th.
