My Name is Earl Fodder

My Name Is Cancelled?

A whole bunch of sources are reporting that NBC is cancelling My Name Is Earl citing rising costs, blah blah blah, low ratings, blah blah blah, and network executive short-sightedness and numb-skullery.

This is bad. I am not happy.

MNIE is one of the few truly funny shows on TV. Other than The Office, 30 Rock, Two anna Half Men, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and HIMYM there just isn't much good comedy on anymore.

A small glimmer of hope remains that Fox will pick up the show. I may have to start a grass-roots mail-in campaign...we just need to figure out what to send...flannel shirts? mustaches?

I thought the news of King of the Hill going down in flames was good news but now learning that my name is earl will joining koth is even better.I hope fox will be smart and not pick this dimbwitted show up.Fox made a good decision in flushing koth down the crapper there's no need to undo a good move with a bad move by picking up My name is earl which should be renamed my name is mud because like mud spelled backwords earl is very dumb like hank hill.

Good points all, logically thought out, coherently constructed, well written. Remedial English was such a waste of your precious time, wasn't it?

I do sympathize with you. It's always tough to get the precise dosage correct, and it's even harder when one dose starts to wear off and it's not yet time to take the next.

I always figured that infinite number of monkeys pounding away on that infinite number of typewriters would get there someday...just thought it would be the Collected Works of William Shakespeare...

You're one of those people who likes to pay $3.00 to call up opinion polls just to vote I Don't Know, aren'tcha?

Thanks for stopping by...y'all take care now, y'hear?

This is very sad news and comes as a big surprise, as the final episode of the season was a cliffhanger (of sorts) and there was no indication of cancellation.
I'm glad you responded back to the scholar who commented above me - people like this frighten me.

So sad to hear about this. I haven't been as thrilled with the third and fourth seasons; I thought the first two were much better. Still, it was a good show. I am guessing that the cast was just too expensive to justify.

Please don't leave the Fodder family, Randy! We can find another spot for you.

:)

I love My name is Earl!! I hope Fox picks it up.

My Name is Earl is my favorite show. As matter of fact it is the only show I go out of my way to watch, and it is the only show that consistently makes me laugh out loud. NBC kept changing the time slot so often I finally gave up watching it on my tv, and I started watching it over the Internet.

I hope TBS or Fox picks it up. There is no other show like it. I've watched the show so much I feel like the Camden Country characters are my friends, although I probably would not want them to know where I lived. Ha!

Ok, My Name Is Earl is dumb, but that is what makes it fun. It's one of those shows you can just sit back, relax, enjoy, and laugh. With all the depressing things going on in the world, it's nice to have a show that you can just have fun watching. For those of you that don't like the show....then don't watch it! As for Fox and TBS, I really hope one of you pick it up. It's a unique, one of a kind show that deserves to be on the air.

It'll be a sadder world without Hank and Earl. Your message above seemed to leave a little room for doubt. Is there any hope?

Somwhere, somebody's list adds another item: "#263 - Cancelled Earl"

Listen Cecil Rose thing are about to get better now that Hank and Earl are about to get flushed down the toilet and as to your question is there any hope there is none these 2 shows are dead.So Ninja Garu why should I show a moron like Hank Hill or Earl any respect if they get anything from me it'll be two 5.56 bullets(one for Hank and one for Earl)into their heads asshole.

To those morons who hope My Name is Earl gets picked up by TBS are a lot dumber than i thought. It's bad enough that Tbs reruns crappy shows like Everyone loves Raymond,King of Queens,Yes,Dear,The Office and of course the first 3 season of my name is earl.I hope Ted turner will do the right yhing and not continue what Stewie Griffin would call a "POORLY ACTED FARCE".
