Jason Lee and Jaime Pressly Take It In Shorts

The 13th annual Screen Actor's Guild awards were presented last night, and My Name Is Earl castmates Jason Lee and Jaime Pressly got screwed over for Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series.

"Yeah, we really got boned up the ol' pooper," said Lee. "I don't mind losing to The Office (for Best Ensemble, Comedy) because (Steve) Carrell and those guys are really funny and genuinely talented," said Lee, "but this makes twice now I've lost to that bloated egotistical mind-numbingly irritating Alec Baldwin." Lee also lost the Golden Globe award to Baldwin. Lee continued, "I mean jeez -- that guy can't even spell 'act' let alone do it well." Asked how she felt about getting rogered by the guild, a noticeably pregnant Pressly said, "Oh no you ditn't. Don't make me go all Ruby Ridge on your ass."

Commenting on what he thought might be the guild's reasoning for awarding Baldwin, Lee stated, "Well, they probably gave it to him as a way to recognize the entire Baldwin family's contribution to movie history. Important movies like Alec's The Marrying Man and The Shadow, and of course my personal favorite Alec Baldwin scene when he french-kissed a dog and licked Adam (Canteen Boy) Sandler's face on SNL (Saturday Night Live). And Billy's Sliver and Fair Game. And Stephen's Half Baked and Bio-Dome. Maybe they'll get so liquored up celebrating this award it'll keep that over-sexed horde of egotists off the streets for a couple of days."

Co-star Ethan Suplee added, "We got a lot of holes to dig in the desert." Asked to comment, castmate Eddie Steeples said, "Hey, accidents happen. Karma is a funny thing." Stunningly attractive castmate Nadine Velazquez entered the fray saying, "I'm Puerto Rican and I'm from Chicago. We have our own ways of dealing with butt-bags. Valentine's Day is coming."

Asked to comment on his SAG win and hard feelings from also-rans, Baldwin smirked a la Jack Donaghy (his character in 30 Rock) and said, "I paid a lot for this award. I paid my dues. Those Earl losers wanna talk smack they can just go ahead. I beat up (ex-wife) Kim, in court I mean, and I'll do the same to anybody else tries to get all up in my face. I play tennis, so I'll be happy to introduce them to the famous 'Baldwin Backhand'. I've been supporting my brothers for years, so if those Earl losers want to throw down, that'll give my brothers a chance to pay me back a little bit since they don't have too much going on right now. And that bee-otch Julie Andrews stole my Lifetime Achievement award. I'm pretty sure I can take her. She's on my list," added Baldwin in an ironic nod to Earl's Karma list.

Wow... did Jason Lee really say that stuff? That actually makes me think differently of him. He seems like such a cool guy and that crap like this wouldn't matter to him. Instead, he sounds like he has some major sour grapes.

I actually think Alec Baldwin is great in that role, but I am not a big fan of "30 Rock." Best actor? Not sure... but I probably wouldn't have picked Jason Lee over him, even though I am deeply religious about watching "My Name is Earl."

They are both NBC though... and on the same night. Doesn't sound like good team spirit to me.

p.s. I know some people find Jaime Pressly annoying on this show. She definitely deserves some type of award in my opinion.

Hi Rache,

Nah, they didn't actually say any of that stuff. I was attempting to be satirical.

I only would've preferred that Jason and Jaime had won because I'm such a fan. Probably Jaime especially because her character is so very different from the person that she actually is.

Apparently her friend's nickname for her is 'Martha' because she's so Martha Stewart-ish. To me that says a lot because she pulls off the character of Joy (who's anything but Martha-ish) so very well.
