At the Brady-Horton family barbecue, there is a brief power outage as a blackout hits all of Salem. Fortunately, Bo's house is not on the grid and so it is not affected. Come on, people who love all things green - don't you want to be just like the Brady household and make your home environmentally friendly? I know that I do.
Daniel, incidentally, liked the fact that the house was briefly dark and makes a move on Chelsea at just that time. Also, a blackout is fun for when you have fireworks in the sky.
Nicole takes EJ to the Salem Inn after Sami basically tells him that they have absolutely no future together due to his lies. He wants to take the stairs but she says that if they do that the upstairs rendez-vous will be a little less energetic. Naturally, they get trapped in the elevator during the blackout.
Lucas sneaks out of the house to go and see Chloe. He feels like his life has no meaning anymore. They decide to take the elevator as well. Naturally, they too get trapped in the elevator during the blackout.
John and Marlena have a fairly long argument. This argument is had through a locked door, mind you, due to the blackout. She says that the disc is their opportunity to get back together and he says that he doesn't know who he was but he likes who he is. He quotes Aristotle and then breaks the disc and starts throwing things around the lab as though he were a celebrity in a hotel room rampage.
Unfortunately, this is the last episode for the week due to Wimbledon. Enjoy tennis, if you like it. I know my father does.
