Days of Our Lives: Depending on How You See It

I guess this is an action packed episode - or not - depending on how you see it. Let's start from the sorority house scandal - Ford has been revealed to be a rapist by Cordy. She doesn't remember too many details of what happens because she's pretty sure that she was drugged. Huh - I wonder if that was what was going on when Ford slipped something into Morgan's drink while she was getting her coat so she could drive him home. Why yes, that's exactly what he was doing. By the time everyone who needs to know anything realize that both Morgan and Ford are gone, it's nearly too late to stop the bad, bad things from happening. Max gets to Ford's room just in time to stop him from taking advantage of our fair lady Morgan but nearly gets pummeled in the process.

Ford is tackled by Jett who, thankfully, got there in time to stop Ford from beating up our man Max. Ford says that he was just having a nice time with Morgan, who conveniently can't really say that Ford did anything wrong because she was passed out for much of the time that anything might have happened. Luckily Cordy bursts into the room and points her finger at him in a "j'accuse" manner, saying that he raped her. Good going, Cordy - you're stronger than you think!

There's a ludicrous story of how Stefano gets so enraged that Steve and Kayla are babysitting for his grandson that after EJ fails to get him by his lonesome, he calls a judge to get a nice custody order. Despite doing all that they still can't manage to get little John back to the mansion. While this is all going on Kayla calls Bo a number of times and interrupts shenanigans. I'll leave it at that.

Lucas gets really irritated that he has to find out that little John is not his son by finding the note that Sami crumpled up in her pocket. He wonders when she was going to tell him and she assures him that it was going to be told eventually, when the time was right. When is the time ever right to tell your soon to be ex-husband that one of his children is biologically not his? I tell you, I am not making this up. Lucas gets mopey and sentimental and tells Sami that they won't always have what they have at this very moment.

Has anyone else noticed a total absence of freeze frames at the end since the new crew came on? What's up with that? I love me some freeze frames. Especially the crazy ones with lightning storms or fire in the background. Hmm - maybe that's why they got rid of them.
