Days of Our Lives: Kate Won't Give Up
Who woulda thunk, but that bizarre fully white outfit that Marlena was rocking today looked really good. Am I insane? It actually made me go hmmm...white jeans...? No. No. No!
I bet John Black gets tired always having to be the spokesperson for True Love and Forgiveness. Advising Bo on how to save his marriage, assuring Marlena that her pregnancy with Roman is in the past. I feel exhausted just watching him work those eye-squinting muscles over and over.
Austin is completely turning into the Phillip character with this EJ/Sami situation. Just playing the goofy oaf, totally unawares of what's happening before his eyes. Maybe it's the power of those bangs she's sporting. I'm really into them and think he is, too.
Damn, that Peter Reckell rocks my world. How awesome was that monologue to Hope? How he got choked up just as he was saying Shawn's name...talking about just going through the motions without her in his life...his bad boy look toned down to a respectable crewneck tee. Perfection.
How I missed Marlena being the sensible, rational Doc that she is. Giving Hope sound, psychiatric advice. It would just send Tom Cruiseazy spinning.
Is "too much water under the bridge" really a saying? I thought that phrase was only used in the sense of forgiveness like, "ohhh honey - water under the bridge." Leave it to Hope to turn it into a negative thing.
Have you ever noticed that Kate says certain words with a British accent? Like "understand"? Look out for it; it's odd. But there was no accent when she spied on Sami secretly chatting with EJ on the roof and prophesized: "Something tells me you're gonna self-destruct again... with a little help from your pal, Kate."
How "West Side Story" was that ending montage of Bo talking to himself, then Chelsea talking to herself, then Hope doing the same? It really should have been done in song.

yes, i've gotta agree, your blog rounds off my whole daily Days experience. i've been reading it after every episode.
hope should just go for it and start dressing goth. she's got the sour mood, the gaunt cheekbones and body (ick, that NECK!), the 'woe-is-me, i'm miserable and everyone else should be too' attitude... why not just dye the hair black, slap on the black lipstick and nail polish, and the hot topic vinyl corset. this could work! this could be the next plotline!
