Days of Our Lives: Chelsea Gets a Helping Hand

Apologies for the missed post yesterday. A last minute babysitting call interrupted my daily routine. And thanks for all the fun comments lately - it keeps me going to know I’ve got my faithful readers!

Was it just me or did that bad cop chick speak incredibly quietly? I had to lean forward and scrunch up my face to hear what she was saying. She was also incredibly spooky - pretty and all, but there was something not right about her. I guess in the end Kate took her up on the offer to destroy the Chelsea tape, but I'm not sure what she'll have to do in return...

Hahahaha. Sami saying “I made a list to undo all the bad things I’ve done - like Earl - do you watch that show?” What an awesome NBC plug, and how great is Ali Sweeney at working in insane lines like that? You know she’s just psyched whenever she gets to mix it up from all those “I’ll find out what you’re up to if it’s the last thing I do” lines.

Aw. Shawn and Mimi are so cute with their little ad libby moments. That’s all.

One of the Skeletors is going down, right? I mean, they can’t both live in Salem after all this is said and done. I guess it’s going to have to be Jr., but I’d rather see Fancy Face hit the road. Although it would be kinda cool to have one of those trial moments where the witness becomes so outraged they crawl over the box and attack. If Hope did that to Chelsea, I’d be pumped.

What’s with Jennifer’s new hair? Those lowlights are tacky, brassy and stripey. She shoulda stuck with the blonde. Yick. By the way, where the hell is Jack? Is he coming back or what?

I’m no lawyer, but isn’t there some option for Chelsea in between jail and nothing? I mean - probation, community service, etc? These writers are clearly not fans of “Law and Order.”

Mac! You’re so *right* about Mimi having to take the stand one day. I just know it will happen. They started the foreshadowing today when she told Shawn she hopes Chelsea goes to prison and then it was sealed when she read her horoscope. She’ll do anything to help Shawn - even if it means taking the stand...and...revealing the paternity of Claire? Uh. They’ll make it work. I know they will.

Welp. The trial’s about to begin. Brace yourself, folks. It’s gonna be a long, long ride.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on this entire post, Amy. Particularly the idea of Fancy Pants leaving town and the bizzarre tackiness that is Jen's hair. Do you think that's Missy Reeve's way of saying "See ya?!" to the show? Anyone have news on her potential departure? I would hate that, but as long as Mimi stays, I won't cry too much.

i'd love to be watching Days on Soapnet tonite, however 'I Wanna Be A Soap Star' seems to be stealing the timeslot. what the hell is going on here???

Days has been bumped on the Soapnet channel from the normal human viewing hour of 7:00 to the who the heck works and stays up this late hour of 11:00 pm. Which really sucks because I tivo that one and now I have to wait until the next day to see the show.

But... thanks to Amy, I'm kept updated anyway!!

Amy -- I went back and rewatched the bad cop scenes and you're right, she talks REAL low. It was "Seinfeld"-esque.

And now for a geek nitpick: When, exactly, did Chelsea learn how to hack into secure email servers and change headers and subject lines and body text without anyone knowing?

Moreover, what kind of lame-ass prosecutor only makes ONE COPY OF THE INCRIMINATING VIDEO? What is this, L.A.?

finally got to see this episode (they were showing 'soap star' commercial-free, and bumped days up yet another hour).

yeah weren't kidding about low-talker cop. i had to up the TV volume by like 4 notches!

i'm really, and i mean REALLY not looking forward to this trial thing. i'm thinking it'll either be a real borefest, or they writers will drag it out as loooong as possible (so they can take the time to possibly write some better storylines, i would assume).

rumor has it that along with melissa reeves leaving (she and her hubby bought a house in tennessee), john and doc are also gonna be on a 6 week hiatus!
