Days of Our Lives: Chelsea Gets Cozy With the Rats

Today didn't go as I'd planned. There's little I look forward to more at the end of a week than my Friday lunch time escape into Salem. But, alas, the real world intervened and I needed to have a little work pow wow at my apartment. While the girls chatted about the evils of our boss I sat on my floor, eating my sandwich and trying desperately to read the lips of Sami and Crew.

Well, it turns out I'm pretty much a failure at lip reading, but I did see a few things. Carrie and Lucas swapping spit. Lucas drinking wine? Way to stay on the wagon, kiddo. Patrick pulling out rum, sugar and two lemons from his backpack? Bo kissing Billie's hand?? And Chelsea safe, sound and cozy in her little sewer bed. Which is really all that matters.

My brother informed me that Patrick wanted to make Hope a batch of grog (is it 1657?) and that Bo was only kissing Billie in a friendly way. So - that answers some of my questions. I also was able to hear one line - spoken by the maintenance dude closing up the manhole - that made up for all the others that I missed. "There's nothing down there but rats. And they deserve to die a slow, painful death if you ask me." Um. Awesome! A.)That's just a horrible thing to say. I'm no fan of rats, mind you, but I'm not really sure it's healthy to be this angry with them. B.)This is the writer's clever way of letting us know that they, too, think Chelsea is a rat. C.)Chelsea might die! D.)Yay!

Lucas is still on the wagon (although with a Mom like Kate, his fall is inevitable). Sami went out of her way to give Lucas a "soda" while the rest of them swigged bubbly.

And I'm pretty sure I saw a rat gnawing on Chelsea's head.

I just discovered your blog and subscribed to the feed a couple of Days ago ;) I love it! Now that I can't tape the show, I actually have to watch it, and that is difficult at times. I'm glad you're here!
