Days of our Lives: Not Your Typical Brady Bunch

Friday’s episode left Hope hanging from an island cliff, trying to rescue an orphan she had creepily morphed into Zach. Today, Patrick rescues them both with a death-defying rope toss. Hope seems hurt (“I can’t move my legs!”) and the island doctor lets her know it’s serious: she’s sprained a leg. Patrick graciously removes his ever-burdensome shirt for a head pillow and offers to care for Fancy Face while her life-threatening ailment heals.

Back in Salem, Mimi (sporting some kickin’ new highlights) decides that if she can convince Shawn to forgive Bo, he will be able to forgive her for keeping the truth about Claire from him. Bo is forgiven, and invited to tomorrow’s wedding, but before Mimi has a chance to spill her guts—that Shawn, always with the preachy monologues—Father Jensen catches them in an embrace and exclaims in joy, assuming Mimi has finally Shawn told the truth. Of course, Shawn is baffled. Truth about what?

In less exciting news, Austen and Lucas begin their Crusade for Carrie. Personally, I find her one of the less appealing ladies of Salem, so I’m constantly confused by their obsession…but I digress. Both toting Carrie’s favorite foods and flowers, they run into each other in their shared hallway, each vowing to win her over.

During everyone’s daily stroll through the park, Sami overhears Lexie advising Carrie to just choose a brother and forget about Sami—either one would be nuts to take her back, anyways. Sami is fuming. All is not lost, though, as she catches Lexie and Tek sharing a blackmail-worthy kiss. She will make this work! Mark my—uh, her—words! Wheels spinning, she turns around to see Carrie stagger to the ground in pain. What luck!

Carrie looks like a horse, Sami is way prettier and since that's the criteria I am using to determine worthiness of affection, I join you in your confusion. Carrie, no. Sami, yes.

I know a lot of people think Belle and Shawn should be together, but I HATE Belle. Compared to Mimi she is a whiny narcisistic beee-atch. Mimi wins by a million. Here is my idea for a plot twist Mimi tells Shawn and then finds out she is pregnant. COME ON! Or Mimi tells Shawn and he is like, "oh well Belle is a loser and you are the winner I want to be with you."

Any ideas about what the deal is with Alex's (aka original Roman who time has not been kind to's) plot to kill Marlena. What is his problem?

Does John have any move other than the one-eyebrow-arch-something-smells-look?

Does anyone care about Tek and Lexie? Are there ever interracial couples on soap operas or do all of the characters have to date people of the same race at all times, which, incidentally limits the field of players for Tek since Lexie is one of two females of color on the show and, let's face it, Celeste is super non-appealing as a hook up.

i like mimi and belle but for right now i say mimi wins by a land slide. It would be cool if hope and bo get back together as a couple and have no further problems but that daughter of his needs a good ass kicking and needs to be brought out of the spot light and to let all her evil tricks out of the bag..

Personally I think it would be totally funny if everyone "thinks' Clair is Shawns then when it came down to it She aint.. I mean really.. talk about a twist.
