Chuck Fodder

Chuck: Chuck Versus The Imported Hard Salami

salami.jpgWe all saw it coming. Bryce Larkin officially made his long awaited debut on "Chuck". Granted, he was in unconscious, but it was a debut nonetheless. The romantic arcs in this episode progressed with plenty of gusto. Chuck and Lou broke up and Sarah pretty much admitted to having more than professional feelings for Chuck. Lou leaves for the time being under the false pretenses that Chuck works for the DEA. Lou's illegal sausage importing scheme has also been unraveled, much to our humorous pleasure. On a lighter note: Morgan put the moves on Anna who was a first hesitant, but later started to show some interest in our Call of Duty 4 champion.

The next few episodes are going to be sizzling, and not with shrimp. (Chuck Versus The Sizzling Shrimp) If the writers play their cards right, the Chuck, Bryce, Sarah storyline is filled with potential. There is such a high anticipation from the viewers that this storyline could make or break the show. Fans might feel betrayed if this threesome angle fails to deliver. Also, for this to work, Bryce needs to stick around for several episodes and not disappear after only one. There is a concern with the ongoing writers strike however. If and when "Chuck" ceases to have original episodes could spell big trouble if the Bryce storyline is still in its infancy. This would essentially erase the benefits that "Chuck" would receive from its biggest storyline of the season. With the television industry in such a volatile state, there could be serious doubts about the show's future.

I really hope that Rachel Bilson becomes a permanent fixture on the show. Whether or not this happens remains to be seen, but I think her chemistry blends in well with Chuck and the rest of the cast. Morgan and Anna's little love affair could be interesting. It will obviously only receive secondary interest, but it does add some more flavor to the Buy More. Lester hitting on Sarah was perhaps the highlight of this episode. Sarah's jump on the counter was the most sexually stimulating scene in a fast food restaurant I have ever seen.

Bloopers

In the club scene Chuck puts his pin transmitter in the cup on the tray. When the waitress arrives at the VIP lounge the transmitter is on the tray, but not in the cup.
