"Chuck" Might Get The Axe

With the Writers Guild of America (WGA) on strike, the status of many television shows is left in an unpleasant limbo. The true losers of this strike are shows in their inaugural season, and "Chuck" is no exception. "Chuck" creator Josh Schwartz has revealed his worry that "Chuck" may be lost in the shuffle when the television industry returns to the status quo. The uncertainty is further strengthened by NBC's refusal to announce a full season pickup until the strike is over. "Chuck" was really staring to build some momentum over the past few weeks, with ratings surpassing expectations. Suffice to say, this strike could not have come at a worst time. Not just for "Chuck", but for the entire television industry.
