The defense was completely in character for Alan Shore. The "tirade" you spoke of was to point out the hypocracy of of being told to leave his "left-wing" politics out of the matter, by showing how these judges, that are supposed to be the highest court in the land, use their personal politics for their own personal reasons, all the while doing damage to the soul of OUR country.
