Caroline Rhea Replaced on "Biggest Loser"

It looks like NBC has cut some of the fat from "The Biggest Loser." Caroline Rhea has been replaced as the host of the weight-loss competition.

Rhea will be replaced by "Days of Our Lives" star Alison Sweeney. While I have nothing against Sweeney, I can't imagine that this will bring in more viewers. Why not give the job to a former "Biggest Loser?"

No word on whether the decision to get rid of Rhea had anything to do with the host's own weight, which seemed to be a topic of discussion on many message boards. Frankly, I think they could have cut the job out completely. The trainers do all of the real work!

Sweeney will continue to keep her "Days" job, says NBC. Rhea is said to be moving on to other projects. -- Rachel Cericola
