The Biggest Loser: Season Finale - LIVE Blog

So much has happened this season... I figured the best way to keep up with the live 2-hour season finale is to go live with my thoughts. Like the show, some moments will be better than others, so feel free to throw your own 2 cents into the comments section.

Refresh your page for updates. Let the festivities begin...

8:01: Caroline says one of the finalists isn't coming. Who is it? Someone else that didn't show up: The same stylist that she had for last season's finale.

8:02: The recap only reminds me how happy I am that Bob's hair has grown in a little.

8:03: Do you think Wylie has had enough of them showing the week where he lost no weight?

8:05: Holy crap! Erik looks thin...

8:06: Thank you show producers for not running the full theme song.

8:08: 9 of the at-home players stand to show they've lost more than 100 pounds. Unfortunately, we don't get to learn any of their names... but the Idaho woman that got married gets props.

8:10: Poppy from New Jersey and Matthew from Maine have the largest percentage of weight loss, so they get airtime. You might recognize both of them from the second round of people that came to the ranch. Poppy looks hot!

8:13: Poppy weighs in. She lost 117 pounds. No wonder she looks so good. Matthew has to lose 184 pounds to win the 50 grand. Of course, now is a great time for a Subway commercial...

8:16: The guy from 24-Hour Fitness gets a plug. He is giving away the cash after all.

8:16: Matthew gets on the scale. He looks cut! He "only" lost 176 pounds. Poppy gets the money.

8:20: Jen looks hot. Tiffany and Nelson had a hard act to follow. Melinda has a small waist and big arms. Speaking of big: Amy has quite a rack!

8:21: Brian looks completely different! I can’t even believe it's the same guy.

8:28: Everyone's homecoming was emotional and all... Erik's actually brought a tear to my eye. Maybe it was the "you big loser" sign welcoming him.

8:34: The people that were eliminated are in their not-so-formal wear. Kim looks awesome (as usual).

8:36: Jen gets weighed. She started at 245 and now weighs 145. Wow wee. She actually looks even smaller than that.

8:37: Tiffany started at 255. Now she's 204.

8:38: Nelson started at 404 and is now 335. He's still a big guy, but it's pretty impressive considering when he got the boot.

8:38: Commercial already?? Yeah I guess we could all use a break after that whole FOUR minutes of programming.

8:43: Melinda looks great. She started at 236. She’s now 172.

8:45: Amy looks like she could take Jen's lead... She started at 260. Now she's 154. One pound more and she would have moved into first place.

8:47: If I was Ken, I would have shaved my head for the show. Hey... every little thing helps. He started at 358. Tonight, he was 197. There's a new champ (for now).

8:48: Pam is so darn cute. She is this season's Suzy -- cute when she was heavy, cute as a skinny girl. She started at 247 and is now 179.

8:55: Wow they are really dragging out these weigh-ins. Maybe they should have had someone come it to sing the theme song or something to fill time… At least I would have had tons to comment about.

Brian is up... he looks like a totally different person. Rightfully so: He went from 308 to 152. He is going to be a tough one to beat.

8:55: Does Caroline have stars in her eyes looking at Brian? Who wouldn't!

8:57: Bobby is up. He started at 321 and is now at 225.

8:58: Marty went from being huge to being huge -- in a good way. He started at 365, and now he's 219.

8:59: Adrian looks good, but there's no way she could beat Brian. She started at 227 and now she's 169.

9:00: It's down to Jaron. This was a good weigh-in to end with, because there's actually suspense during the commercial break...

9:07: Looking back, Caroline had better hair in the middle of the season. Jaron is up. He started at 323, and is now 163. Brian is the winner of the $100K.

Very strange ending to that weigh-in… Congratulations -- now get off stage.

9:08: Erik looks GREAT. I am guessing that when he walks out, he's going to be a hottie.

9:16: Bob and Kim kill some time before the final 4 come out. I guess Bob's hair experiment is over for the season.

9:16: With 2 weeks left, Wylie looks VERY skinny. Kai looks very different as well. It was hard to tell with Heather.

9:20: My face dropped when I saw Erik. Um... he's not eating pastrami sandwiches. I'm not sure if he's eating anything! I will be pissed if he is the one not to show up tonight...

9:24: Wylie was up first. He looks awesome -- and so stylish. I am so happy that he made it. I thought for a while there, the girls were going to get rid of him.

9:26: WOW -- Kai is HOT! I could sort of see that coming, but wow wee...

9:28: I thought I was going to pass out when I saw Erik (for at least the second time tonight). Is there any chance that this guy will not win?

9:31: Heather was pregnant! You could tell by her face, she looks good... I still don't like her though! She wasn't allowed to continue with the show, but she did get a new nursery. Not a shabby parting gift.

9:37: The final 3 are in their weigh-in wear. Everyone is so skinny, but to me, it just seems like it's a race for second place between Kai and Wylie.

9:39: All 50 original contestants were weighed on the giant scale. The nation got about 4,200 pounds lighter. OK -- enough filler... bring on the final weigh-in. I've got Christmas cards to write out!

9:44: Everyone gets money. Third place gets $25,000; second place gets $50,000. That's still a lot of Jell-O.

9:46: Kai is up first. Looking back at her application video, all I can say is wow. I think that's been a general theme tonight.

Kai started at 262 and now weighs 144. She lost 118 pounds.

9:48: Wylie was up next. I don't even remember him being so large. I think his waist is now smaller than mine. He started the show at 307. Now he's 178. Right now, he's behind Kai.

9:49: Erik needs to lose 183 pounds. Just looking at him, I would think he's the winner. We shall find out -- after the billionth commercial break!

9:56: So it's all down to Erik... He started at 407 and now weighs 193. He lost 214 pounds... WOW. He is the biggest Biggest Loser -- ever. Very surprising. I am happy for him.
