If you get UPN or the WB right now, chances are you are going to get the CW -- whether you get it on basic cable or by sticking tinfoil on top of an old-school TV set. It will not be a "premium" cable channel. It will be like any of the other "major" networks.

As far as them making a mistake... UPN and the WB were tanking. They were not making money and could not afford to stay in business on their own. Instead, they are merging into the CW, and had to pick the highest rated shows out of both networks' current lineups.

It's too late though... it's already a done deal. Sorry.
