well he's going to have to prove that the PTBs in control of ABC now had knowledge of his work and access to it. and I"m betting that he can't. because they likely didn't. I'd be really shocked if there's even one person around ABC/Touchstone that had a clue who this guy was before he turned up claiming he thought up the show some 28 years ago.

Believe me... I 100% agree with you. But I think sometimes they will just throw people a few bucks to shut them up. I don't think it hurts the show either way, frankly. All publicity is good publicity!

wait, Sid & Marty Kroft Productions? I seem to recall them producing a show called "Land of the Lost". (I saw a few episodes back in the 1980s, [um, Saturday morning on a CBS affiliate?] but no telling when it was made...the station might've been airing it as filler.) It was about a father, son, and daughter that accidentally go through a dimensional rift in a river and wind up stranded in some kind of wraparound pocket universe filled with jungle and dinosaurs and timestream debris.
Could _this_ be what Mr. Spinner was hired to create? It would be very sad if he had really gone to his bosses with 'Lost' and they hacked it into 'Land of the Lost' instead.

You are correct! I figured that was the same show too, but I am still not sure if he has a case... And according to IMDB.com, he had nothing to do with "Land of the Lost," but he could have been involved in the very early stages.

I remember seeing Land of the Lost back in the '70s and again in the '80s. However, I remember seeing a failed pilot for a series
about the survivors of a plane crash at sea
who make it to an uncharted island. I don't rememer the name of the pilot but it starred
Kevin Dobson. The flight, I think, was on its way from Sydney to New York, and crashed off course. This must be the same pilot that's the
object of this lawsuit. But why would Krofft Productions produce it?
