Elizabeth Perkins Leaves "Weeds"

I just started getting into the show Weeds (bless you streaming Netflix!), so it's very disheartening to hear that Elizabeth Perkins will soon be leaving the show.

Perkins has played very bitchy, very entertaining neighbor Celia Hodes for the past five years.

However, The Hollywood Reporter says that Perkins doesn't plan to leave TV for good. She is in the process of developing her own sitcom. Until that gets picked up, she will have plenty to do. She has signed to star in Hop, a live-action/animation hybrid from Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks). James Marsden and Russell Brand (at least his voice) will also star.

Weeds will kick off its sixth season in August on Showtime.
