Betty White to Appear on "SNL"

After weeks of waiting, wondering, and Facebook-ing, TV Guide has confirmed that Betty White will appear on Saturday Night Live.

During the waiting, we heard rumors that White would be part of a "Women of Comedy" special, which would include Molly Shannon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. However, executive producer Lorne Michaels has denied that. For now, there's no word on whether she will do the entire show -- or when.

White is well known for her roles on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls. In 2009, she starred alongside Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in the mega-hit, The Proposal. She also appeared in a Snickers Super Bowl commercial, which you can see below.
