Fox Pulls "Our Little Genius"

Poor Kevin Pollak! Just a week before the comedian's new game show was scheduled to air, the network has decided to pull the plug.

Apparently, both Fox and producer Mark Burnett were not pleased with the quality of Our Little Genius. Today, the network announced that it won't air on Wednesday, January 13, as previously announced.

"I recently discovered that there was an issue with how some information was relayed to contestants during the pre-production of Our Little Genius. As a result, I am not comfortable delivering the episodes without re-shooting them," Burnett said in a statement. "I believe my series must always be beyond reproach, so I have requested that Fox not air these episodes."

The network says that they respect Burnett's decision. "While these episodes will not air, the families who participated in the show will receive their winnings, and we are grateful for their participation," a spokesperson added.

Instead of Our Little Genius, Fox plans to repeat the 450th episode of The Simpsons, followed by an extended episode of American Idol. The following week will have more Idol with an encore of Human Target.
