Mike Judge's "Goode" Goes to Comedy Central

It seemed like a good idea that Mike Judge, creator of Beavis & Butt-Head and King of the Hill, would have an animated comedy on ABC. However, The Goode Family was not so good in the ratings, so the network canned it.

Now, Comedy Central is picking up the cartoon pieces -- as well as the series. The network just announced that The Goode Family will become a regular part of the lineup, beginning January 4, 2010.

The cartoon follows the Goode family, who tries so hard to be politically correct that it often has mixed results. Characters are voiced by creator Mike Judge, David Herman (Office Space), Nancy Carell (Mrs. Steve Carell), Linda Cardellini (ER, Freaks and Geeks), Brian Doyle-Murray (Caddyshack, TV's The Middle), and voice actor Dee Bradley Baker.

For now, Comedy Central will just air reruns. According to Wikipedia, if the show does well, there is potential for new episodes.
