We are giddy with excitement here at TV Fodder. EW is reporting that Justin Theroux will join Parks and Recreation -- at least for a little while.
We are hoping this will give the show that added kick in the pants that's so sorely needed. We want to like this show much more, and this certainly doesn't hurt. The word is that the actor-writer-producer will have a recurring role as a possible love interest for Leslie (Amy Poehler).
Theroux has a pretty kick-ass resume, starring in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Zoolander, Six Feet Under, The Baxter, and the HBO miniseries John Adams. His writing credits include Tropic Thunder and the upcoming Iron Man 2.
He won't appear until 2010, but you can catch up on Parks and Recreation every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. (EST) on NBC.
