We've seen some bizarre casting moves, but this one is leaving a lot of people scratching their heads: James Franco will soon do a guest stint on General Hospital.
Not to pooh-pooh GH fans everywhere, but this is the same Franco from Pineapple Express and Spider-Man. Variety says the role will last for two months, starting November 20. There's not much else about the role except that he plays a "mysterious person who comes to Port Charles who will be Jason Morgan's worst nightmare," says ABC Daytime spokeswoman Jori Petersen. Sounds very soap-y.
Steve Burton, who plays Morgan on the show, shares a manager with Franco. Other that that, we have no clue what the deal is. Maybe Franco is a closet fan.
