Who will be the next Hoda Kotb?
Michaela Watkins, known for her Kotb impression alongside Kristen Wiig's Kathie Lee Gifford (as pictured above), has been let go from "Saturday Night Live." Casey Wilson was also cut from the show.
We're guessing the decision had nothing to do with budget cuts. The show quickly filled the slots with Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad. The two are former members of the Upright Citizens Brigade and The Groundlings, respectively.
Watkins says she had no clue it was coming. "I don't think anyone knows what Lorne Michaels was thinking," the comedienne told Entertainment Weekly. "That's one of the exciting things about him."
The 35th season of "Saturday Night Live" kicks off on September 26. Megan Fox ("Jennifer's Body") will take on hosting duties, with U2 in as the musical guest. -- Rachel Cericola
